I'm running the London Marathon for Demelza

Demelza delivers extraordinary care to extraordinary children who are facing serious or life-limiting conditions, throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex. Were here for them and their families with expert clinical, emotional and practical support at every step from first diagnosis and for as long as were needed.

When they need us most, well be there; to reassure, to guide and to care. By their side when they feel isolated, helping to create joy in family life during challenging times and making precious memories.

Demelza believes in care that doesn't back down.

33km fail but 27.5km unlocked

Saturday 19th Sep

This was meant to be my last long run before Chester however with Otto (the puppy) being unwell I failed at 33km but still ran the longest distance I ever have. Good news is I still have time and definitely still time before London. Onwards and upwards 👆🏼

A busy weekend

Sunday 6th Sep

A metrix event with my f45 gym on Saturday and then a 10km at Thorpe Park on Sunday - my body is resting for the rest of Sunday 🤣 my run today I just wanted to enjoy and I did, legs felt good and it was an enjoyable 10km upper body is broken from yesterday though 🤣 5 weeks today until my first marathon which starts me on my 6 months and 3 marathons challenge which ends with London which I’m lucky enough to be running for Demelza, will be attempting to keep on improving before then!

Nice PB at Dulwich 10 mile

Tuesday 1st Sep

This felt alot better than my previous 10 mile (16km) race. After getting over a hamstring injury it felt good to be running again and also managed a PB less than 6 weeks now til my first marathon in Chester.

Lee Valley Velodrome

Saturday 22nd Aug

Over half way on fundraising

Wednesday 29th Jul

Wow thank you everyone who has donated so far I’m really happy to be over the half way point, our first draw from the 100 club was last night and our winner Nikki donated her winnings (I have some amazing friends). This weekend we have my longest race to date a metric marathon which is 26.2km - feeling nervous but also I’ve got this. - picture from my half marathon earlier this summer and my chief supporters Beau and Otto

Victoria park 5km

Victoria Park 5km

Saturday 25th Jul

So I discovered after entering this race it’s no where near Victoria station 😂 I had a break from running following the Josh Kerr mile still doing gym, PT and reformer so this one felt good. First time running this course and managed it in 28 minutes which is a dream. Tomorrow I have another 5km but the Hercules ones so it’s dress up in a toga time.

Josh Kerr 1 mile run

Saturday 18th Jul

I enjoy collecting medals there I’ll admit it there is something nice about getting one of these are a race. Whilst as this was just 1 mile 1.6km it was my first run since finding out I had a space for the marathon (I will be running on the Sunday). I got an opportunity through Brooks to try their new Hyperion elite 6 and wow they were amazing think I think a pair!

Day 1

Thursday 16th Jul

Still in shock at being offered the opportunity to run for Demelza, I have a 1 mile run/race tonight at the Olympic park in London where brooks are allowing trials of their newest trainers which will be cool. This is the Josh Kerr Mile as he attempts a world record for the 1,500 metre.
