Fundraising is a great way to have fun and bring people together in your local community. As your local children’s hospice, every penny you raise makes a big difference to children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families and ensures we can continue to provide expert clinical care, emotional support and practical help.

From the first tee to the final putt, the event brought people together for a great day on the course while fundraising in support of Demelza.

Her amazing fundraising efforts is going towards helping fund the vital care we provide to children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families.

A huge thank you to Alice, who took part in Bubble Rush in June to fundraise for Demelza.

She joined in with the event in memory of her cousin Sebastien, who passed away almost 13 years ago. Their family was supported by Demelza.

To kickstart her fundraising, seven-year-old Alice donated the money the tooth fairy gave her for her very first tooth and she has smashed her £100 target.

Demelza volunteers were treated to an organ recital by professional musician Raymond Lewis.

He is a friend of Geoffrey and Maggie Dawson, who volunteer at Demelza’s Orpington shop and he put on a recital at his home to raise money for the charity.

The audience enjoyed hearing Mr Lewis play pieces by Bach, Howells, Cocker and Vierne and the performance. Donations raised £260, thanks for your support!

A huge shout out to King John's Nursery and Garden in Etchingham. which has supported Demelza. The nursery has days when Demelza volunteers run their carpark and in return, they give us £1 for every entry.

Area Fundraising Manager Katie Hook said: "We're so lucky to have King John's fundraising for us. Their charity carpark is heavily supported and popular and it's a great way for us to raise awareness about Demelza as well as raising vital funds."
