1. Promoter
1.1 The promoter is Demelza Hospice Care for Children (Demelza), registered charity number 1039651, registered address, Rook Lane, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8DZ.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom, aged 16 or over.
2.2 Proof of age and eligibility may be required.
3. Entry
3.1 The prize draw will run from 00:01 on Thursday 11th June to Friday 10th July at 23.59. Entries received after this time will not be valid.
3.2 To enter, participants must purchase a prize draw ticket face-to-face or by form online here.
3.3 No purchase, payment or donation is necessary to enter this prize draw.
3.4 To enter for free, entrants must send a postcard or letter by post including the following information:
Full name
Postal address (no PO Box addresses permitted)
Email address and/or phone number
A clear statement to say ‘Demelza LEGO statue Prize Draw
3.5 Free entry submissions must be sent to:

3.6 Each valid postcard or letter received will count as one (1) entry into the prize draw.
3.7 A maximum of one entry per postcard or envelope is permitted. Multiple entries must be submitted separately.
3.8 There is no limit on the number of entries per person.
3.9 Free entries must be received before the closing date stated in clause 3.1. Proof of posting does not guarantee entry.
3.10 All valid free entries will be entered into the prize draw and will have an equal chance of winning as paid entries.
3.11 Each valid entry has an equal chance of winning.
3.12 Participants may obtain multiple entries, whether by paid or free entry routes and therefore increase their overall chances of winning by holding more entries
3.13 Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or do not comply with these requirements will be disqualified.
4. The Prize
4.1 The prize is one (1) large LEGO statue
4.2 The dimensions of the staue are (in cm) H120, W72, D72 and the base dimensions are (in cm) H60, W78, D78.
4.3 Demelza reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.
4.4 Due to the nature and the size of the prize, the winner must arrange collection from Demelza Kent, Rook Lane, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8DZ.
4.5 Any additional cost arrangements or delivery costs are the responsibility of the winner and will not be covered by Demelza.
4.6 The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
4.7 The prize must be collected within thirty (30) days of acceptance unless otherwise agreed.
5. Winner Selection
5.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries using a fair and verifiably random process conducted under independent supervision within three (3) days of the closing date.
6. Winner Notification
6.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries using a fair and verifiably random process conducted under independent supervision on Tuesday 14th July
6.2 If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within seven (7) days then Demelza reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
6.3 If the winner is contacted but declines the prize then this will be recorded and Demelza reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
7. Publicity
7.1 By entering, entrants agree that if they win, their first name and approximate location (e.g. ‘James from Kent’) may be used in promotion.
7.2 The winner may be invited (but not required) to participate in reasonable publicity.
7.3 Entrants may object to the use of their details for publicity purposed by contacting Demelza.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection law and Demelza’s Privacy Policy Privacy policy | Demelza Hospice Care for Children | Policies
8.2 Data will only be used for administering the draw unless the entrant has opted into marketing communications.
9. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
9.1 This promotion is a prize draw, not a lottery and includes a free entry route.
9.2 Demelza operates this draw in line with best practice guidance adopted by major UK fundraising draw campaigns.
9.3 Paid entry route and free entry have an equal chance of winning.
10. General
10.1 Demelza reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the promotion if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
10.2 The decision of Demelza in all matters relating to the draw is final.
10.3 These terms are governed by English Law.
10.4 Nothing in these terms limits Demelza’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to this, Demelza accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the draw or acceptance of the prize.
10.5 Proof of posting does not constitute proof or receipt.
