Demelza delivers extraordinary care to extraordinary children who are facing serious or life-limiting conditions, throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex. Were here for them and their families with expert clinical, emotional and practical support at every step from first diagnosis and for as long as were needed.

When they need us most, well be there; to reassure, to guide and to care. By their side when they feel isolated, helping to create joy in family life during challenging times and making precious memories.

Kane

Monday 1st Jun
 Demelza is where my beautiful sweet boy Kane received care during his short life and end of life care, not only that but we have received amazing support from them not only during the 4 weeks we stayed there but also since Kanes passing. Every member at the Eltham site are truly amazing and kind people. The support and kindness that they showed towards Kane and ourselves was immense. Demelza hold’s a special place in my heart and I will never be able to show my gratitude to everyone who worked there during Kanes end of life care. Demelza is full of some of the most amazing people. Thanks to them we were able to make some beautiful memories with our Kane before he passed. He was treated with dignity and love. We were treated with empathy and understanding. We did not have the stress of being in a home that was not suitable for Kanes need, needing to do housework chores like cooking and cleaning, food shop and ordering of medications and administering it with some being as often as 3-4 hours. We were given full control with decisions regarding Kanes medical care and personal care with sometimes being an advocate for us during meetings with other health professionals. We were educated about future decisions and processes with such grace and often emotionally supportive advice. We had a lot of laughter happen when engaging with the team and we can now look back at what was the most horrific time of our lives and be able to say that Kane was surrounded by laughter during his time there. There is no thank you big enough to show how grateful and appreciative we are of the team at Demelza.
